• What is ABA?
  • Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is an evidence based scientific technique and approach to addressing core deficits of autism spectrum disorder.  ABA also is a scientific approach for understanding behavior.  This type of therapy is proven to improve social, communication and learning skills through reinforcement strategies.  Skills are broken down into smaller, component parts, celebrating each step of the way with positive reinforcement.
  • Many experts consider ABA to be gold-standard treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions.
  • ABA therapy is appropriate for all deficits related to autism spectrum disorder and related disorders.
  • Common treatment goals include: Social Skill development, maintenance and generalization.  Communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).  Daily living skills.  On-task behaviors for instruction and academics.  Compliance.  Functional communication training to replace undesired behaviors with communication skills.
